The Roses from the Heart project is still in progress. Please visit the website to find out more about this project to honour convict women who sailed from Ireland to Australia in the ‘coffin ships’. Many bonnets have already been made.
If you are interested in ‘adopting’ a convict, perhaps with your own family name, please contact Helen Dodd hdbonnets@hotmail.com She still has some names available. There are 3 pieces in the pattern.
