Henry Bear Quilts
Branch members make quilts for sick children in Crumlin Children's Hospital. These are donated to children before undergoing major heart surgery and each child keeps them on returning home. This is a very worthwhile cause and is much appreciated by both the children, parents and staff of the hospital. Please bring completed quilts to the monthly meetings for Show and Tell and for transportation to the hospital.

Branch Charity for 2011-2012
The Committee has designated Temple Street Children's Hospital as the charity for this session. All proceeds from raffles, sale of fabrics, collections etc will be allocated to this fund.

Fields of Life
Again this year we are asking members to contribute a "Sewing Kit" for this very worthy project. You can read more about the work of this Charity at http://www.fieldsoflife.com/. Click here for a pattern for a simple sewing kit. It should contain the usual items, eg scissors, thread, needles etc and any other little "surprises" that you could include eg small pieces of fabric, elastic, ribbon etc. The bag can be a simple affair - members could even make two or three of them! The sewing machines that were donated in 2010 are still in use and greatly valued. Please do keep up your generous work. Sewing kits should be brought to the June Branch Meeting for collection.
