Reminder for all IPS Eastern Branch members that our AGM will take place on Saturday May 27th 2017 in St. Anthony’s Hall, Clontarf.
Tea / Coffee: served from 10am. Please don’t forget your Mug
AGM: Will start at 10.45am
Reminder: Visitors are as always welcome to our meetings. However, at the May meeting visitors will be asked to leave the hall for the duration of the AGM. Once the AGM has finished visitors are welcome to return.
Our general branch meeting will commence once the AGM has finished.
Call for Committee Members: Volunteers are needed for the Branch Committee as 8 members of the current Committee will finish their 2 year term at the AGM in May. Nomination forms will be available on the morning of the AGM or please email Celine - firstname.lastname@example.org and she will forward you the form by email.

Group Exhibiting at May meeting: Kitchen Quilters
UFO afternoon: We will have a UFO (unfinished objects) afternoon, after our meeting on May 28th starting at 1.30pm. During the afternoon Cynthia Keegan will demonstrate how to put a sleeve on a quilt and how to make a bag for quilts going to Exhibition, so it’s definitely worth sticking around. Cost: €5.00

- Birdhouses Applique Workshop Sunday, 28th May 2017 – full day workshop cost €65.00
- Stitching Showcase Workshop Monday 29th May 2017 – full day workshop cost €65.00
- Layers & Shadows Workshop Tuesday 30th May 2017 – fully day workshop cost €65.00
There are still some places available for the Birdhouses Applique Workshop on Sunday, 28th May 2017, if you are interested please contact our Workshop Coordinators Marilyn Roantree and Mary Hunter at email@example.com or visit our Workshop table at the meeting on May 27th.
Machine Service: John O’Donnell from the Singer Sewing will be at the meeting to service sewing machines. The order machines are serviced in will be based on the sign-up sheet which was completed at the April meeting. Please be aware that your machine may not be ready for collection until late in the afternoon and you may need to return to collect it (so it’s a good excuse to stay around for the UFO afternoon).
Raffle: Our raffle will take place at the May meeting. Tickets will be available at the meeting. 1st Prize is a Sewing Machine donated by John O’Donnell from the Singer Sewing Centre in Waterford.
